Dr. Leighia Wells is a chiropractor, certified in the McKenzie Method. Chiropractic manipulation and the McKenzie Method are conservative treatments for musculoskeletal problems.
She attended Eastern Illinois University prior to matriculation to chiropractic college. She earned a doctorate from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 2000 where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. In 2004, she began taking McKenzie courses. In May 2006, Dr. Wells passed the credentialing exam in the McKenzie Method to became one of a few Chiropractors in the U.S. to have attained this credential. She is currently working toward her Diplomate in Functional Rehabilitation at National University of Health Sciences.
Dr. Wells is a member of the American Academy of Spine Physicians, American Chiropractic Association, American Academy of Hospital Chiropractors, Michigan Association of Chiropractors, and Junior League of Kalamazoo.
